Vivienne Dascanio qualified from Coventry University, UK in 1998, she is currently engaged in doctoral studies at the University of York, investigating acupuncture and manual therapy for low back pain.
Vivienne is a chartered physiotherapist with over 16 years of clinical experience working as a physiotherapist in both the NHS and private practice, specialising in musculoskeletal conditions. She has been a company director of her private physiotherapy practice in Peterborough for over twelve years and has employed and mentored many physiotherapy practitioners.
Vivienne is the Chairman of the Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists (AACP) and also sits on the Education, Training and Research Committee (ETRC) of the AACP. She was the lead author of the AACP’s ‘Commissioning and Research Pack’ and is committed to supporting Physiotherapists in the provision of evidence-basedacupuncture as an integral part of their physiotherapy practice for the benefit of their patients.
